Welp, that didn't go as expected... onto debug tonight/weekend.
Something around my opamps/mixer is not only not working but squealing/feedbacking like crazy. Hoping I didn't fry the FV1.
One of those things where I have to investigate/prove the "why", before I know what the "what" is.

Given it's the FV1, is there some latency? There always is, right?

Yeah, it's looking like
(a) the FV1 is fried
(b) some mistake I can't figure what on the PCB fried the FV1
I have a few more tests to try it, but it's looking like I might need to start the PCB layout over and order a new one, which sucks. I've been probing everywhere the PCB and nothing makes any sense. which is a bad sign.

Welp, I've pretty much given up on these PCBs. Tried populating a second one but without all the analog stuff. Just the FV-1 and the minimum it needs to function. Still dead.
Thjis sucks, it should be simple. It's not exactly a complicated chip to use. The 32bit micros I use for my other stuff are in theory far touchier. Can't do any more tests as I'm out of PCBs and FV-1s (the chips are $20 a pop, too). Sucks that I could have had a working pedal this weekend, instead it's delayed at least a month.
Stuff like this seems to happen more often than it should with me. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with diy.

our dollar is really shit right now. I was getting them from smallbear. $16usd = $22cdn
I've checked out expeirmental noize. I've also designed a new minimal board just for the fv-1. since that's all I can do at this point. start from something small, even though the prototype was (and still is) working perfectly.
