You could probably do some neat stuff with a freqbox and some kind of sequencer.
for sure. maybe an ehx 8 step like the dude was talking about using with his moog LPFlordgalvar wrote:You could probably do some neat stuff with a freqbox and some kind of sequencer.
Haha yes, I used to do that, too, when I had a Freqbox. It was so unbelievably gnarly sounding. You could change the waveshape via an expression pedal, too. Such a terrible/amazing pedal. I might have to buy one again...they're out of production.pigmaker wrote:for sure. maybe an ehx 8 step like the dude was talking about using with his moog LPFlordgalvar wrote:You could probably do some neat stuff with a freqbox and some kind of sequencer.
i used to have a couple of them, i didnt care for using the exp for waveform control much, more the other stuff.Invisible Man wrote:Haha yes, I used to do that, too, when I had a Freqbox. pretty cool but i think a pll is out of my pricerange
Yup... that would work. Just need to tap the CV from the 8 Step into it.Invisible Man wrote:No it ain't.pigmaker wrote:digi2t wrote:How about an 8 Step and a PLL? Works for me.

CV from the 8 Step runs out the same jack iirc, all you need is the appropriate converter.digi2t wrote:Yup... that would work. Just need to tap the CV from the 8 Step into it.Invisible Man wrote:No it ain't.pigmaker wrote:digi2t wrote:How about an 8 Step and a PLL? Works for me.

Korg SQ-1 is a good choice too if you also have synth gear. Gives you a random mode and the ability to send gate at the same time. No presets though...Invisible Man wrote:Yeah, just grab an adapter (1/4" - 1/8") and you'd be good to go. I'm planning on doing exactly this.
