You could probably do some neat stuff with a freqbox and some kind of sequencer.

check out the Arcadiator, it does downwards arpeggios in the harmonic sequence from oscillating fuzz.

Haha yes, I used to do that, too, when I had a Freqbox. It was so unbelievably gnarly sounding. You could change the waveshape via an expression pedal, too. Such a terrible/amazing pedal. I might have to buy one again...they're out of production.

Tonight I ran a subdecay noise box into a square wave trem, and while it wasn't arpeggiation it provided a similar-ish effect. Then of course you have step filter pedals like the subdecay proteus which also sounds a little arpeggiation-ish.

Yup... that would work. Just need to tap the CV from the 8 Step into it. :animal:

CV from the 8 Step runs out the same jack iirc, all you need is the appropriate converter.

Yeah, just grab an adapter (1/4" - 1/8") and you'd be good to go. I'm planning on doing exactly this.

Korg SQ-1 is a good choice too if you also have synth gear. Gives you a random mode and the ability to send gate at the same time. No presets though...
