Imagine what eigthy year old grandmaster Tom will be able to do with oscillations.

By then I'll be in a tree house behind the workshop throwing old nuts and leaves at that hermit... Open Sky Oscillations...

Dibs on living in the root of your tree, spending my days learning about crystals and the teachings of eternal oscillation.

An M13 styled H9.
Or, even better! A M13 styled H8000fw

lol I have a whole fucking journal full of ideas and drawings like this..chanks idea with a delay + green ringer is in there. rat + feedback loop. pt2399 fuzz (???) parallel muff/rat. a momentary/soft click pedal that does that tape warble to bits like the echo degrader. I also copied a bunch of notes brian gave to some dudes over at freestompboxes trying to clone his fuck. copied down transistors and where the envelope occurs and a bunch of schematics that don't mean a damn thing to me...

anyways, I really want a fucking PLL and a momentary pedal that -obliterates- shit. an auto looper would be cool too, like .. everything you play is delayed 4 seconds. not a delay, so it doesn't get washy, but something that lags behind like a broken tape deck

The other day I had an idea for a pedal that was a trem, but with a bunch of different modulation circuits in it so that each time the sound came back, you could set it up for a different mod. So it would be like PHASE-OFF-CHORUS-OFF-VIBE-OFF etc etc. I had a really good name for it too, but I forgot it plus I can't actually build pedals either.

I want the EL Capistan's Sound on Sound mode as a full functioned purpose specific pedal. Seriously. You have like 5 knobs. You could change the sampling rate and the frequency content and maybe like THE DIRECTION and the reverb amount and the speeds UGH it would fucking rock. Three switches after you include that AUX switch thing would be plenty.

Side note: drunk. I'm not gonna edit the post, but for reference. I'd better get to the drunk/high thread in General.

Ya, I'm always back and forth with using my laptop with Live's looper(s) and using hardware loopers. You can do so much with software loopers but I always have to look at my laptop to make sure everything is working right.

I flow/create better with hardware loopers but can't do two loopers at once, unless I was a timing master.

I was using two headrushes at one time. Was fun, but had time drifting.

The simplicity of the DL-4 is so good. I was hoping I could hack mine some how but I don't think it is possible.

A ring mod that uses a PLL circuit so it follows your note with different rates of fidelity. :animal:

You could call it Vitruvian.

It's the closest, but not even closed to what I'm looking for.

Faldoe wrote:^^^ Yeah. A pitchshifter with the ability to do complex cordage with no artifacts yet have parameter options to reduce the polyphony so it can get glitchy when/if you want it do.

Basically a Pitchfactor and POG/HOG in one.

Also, a revamped DL-4 with Midi sync/ ability to sync with other DL-4s of that model. Or maybe a dedicated looper but with the same 4 switches with the ability to use either an AUX switch for added features OR control via MIDI for even more feature controls ala Gibson Echoplex - and stuff like on the Timefactor's looper with the loop slicing.

Mandating that all companies that make Loopers either include MIDI as an option or agree upon using a similar syncing method like the new Digitech stuff that way loopers from different companies can play together.

A Hold/Glitch pedal where when a note/chord is captured, the record "capture" switch is actually a 4 way X/Y pad where parameters can be assigned to the different axis so you can manipulate them with your foot. So you could have loop speed on the X and sample rate or bit on the Y and you hold the pad to capture audio, move your foot around and then let go for it to stop. And then have a latch or momentary option.
You've spoken the words of my heart. Especially with that hold/glitch idea. I've been wanting to turn the UCreate toy into a pedal for that reason.
