How do people feel about the E2 Headrush? I just got one off the evilBay.

Should be alright if it's not water-damaged.

Boomerang FTW. An incredibly powerful tool. Can't save loops, but, beyond that, there's not much it can't do. Want four loops synced to the same length (or multiples of that length) with no external time controller? Want to reverse em? Half speed? Stutter? Fade? Stack/copy/erase?

It is irreplaceable for me. I found a used one for $275, and gobbled it up. I know its still a lot, but...sweet sweetness, it is so good.

DL4 is rad, too. Does a lot of the same stuff, but has fewer weirdness possibilities (at least in its intended design).

I found the boss loopers to be kinda unimaginative, and to not sound very good. The ditto is sweet for what it is, but its essentially a tiny sampler, and a good looked is an instrument, right?

Mine was new in box, still all wrapped with foam, the manual still in its protective bag. Only got a little time with it, but I dig it a lot! And the separate soft switches for recording loops and starting loops really works well for me. Good stuff!

This is the same thing I say in every god damn thread I can. DL4. Best looper, worst delay. I got a TimeLine to replace it and my other delays and the DL4 stayed. I use it a lot live but mainly for interludes and outros. It's not really the best for "normal looping" though. My RC-20 does that, but it stays at home.

E2 is pretty gnarly. Dead simple. A lot of people really like the tape echo sim. It has four outputs, if I remember correctly.

It does indeed. it's a really solid delay pedal -- very 'workman' -- and the looping is really intuitive.

It's also true stereo and the in/out behavior changes based on what you have plugged into where. Manual section 19.

But it is expensive, and if you want wring everything you can out of it you really need to get the sidecar. Aaaaand you can't save your loops, so that may be a huge dealbreaker.

I'm waiting on the DD-500 and crossing my fingers.

If you tap the 1/2 speed switch before looping, it gives you double the looping time.
Tap it again post-loop and to kick that loop into hi pitch/speed.
Then add a bassline. Hell yeah.

I will never stop plugging the Rang. It is so, so, so good. The only gripe is the one you point out--can't save loops. Otherwise, it is pretty much perfect.

As for the Sidecar: yep, it's great if you want to wring dry the weird sponge that is the Rang. I owned it, but kinda liked having some limitations. We're so spoiled here in pedal land that it can be easy to load up on every possible option. My music gets better when I subtract, I think. But that's just me.

How far away is a Boomerang IV? I have had a Boomerang III prior to the Sidecar being available, which would have given me the extra options I wanted out of the looper and probably wouldn't have sold it. I am considering replacing my beloved DL4 and the Boomerang is high on my list. My only other thought was to snag a (another) used Timeline and use a DIY multiswitch to unlock the reverse, halfspeed, and undo functions, as it operates the same as DL4 loopers but better reliability and delay sounds.

There are some reports that the EHX 22500 still has some bugs.
