well, like you sai - it's a more long term thing and it sounds like you've got enough with to start working with so it doesn't sound like you'd need to punt (Americanism I suppose).
Besides, the time playing might help you really lock into what you want in terms of that differentation of the fine line we were talking about
Oh you should totally do it. That's about what I paid for it I think. I remember when they were just discontinued and thomann sold them for less than a DD-3. Should've totally bought a backup one

I have no doubt it's easily worth $130...
But I'm thinking about getting a new one for $200, which is more than what I paid for my -also new- Empress VMSD, a more than a new Delaylab...:s
So I'm kinda on the fence about this, since I'm just basing this on what you guys are saying and a handful of reviews and clips...:s
I usualy try to buy my stuff at flip-able prices, especially when buying sight unseen...
There looks to be one at a MGR store in MA for $160. They might be willing to ship international or you might be able to find a fuzz bro to pick it up for you...

Link?
After s&h, that'd probably save me about $15, which isn't a whole lot considering I'd get customer service and return policy from a place that's a bazillion miles from my home
But yeah, I'm broke/stinchy enough to check it out

Looks like that one's pre-owned/used though, so $174 (inc domestic shipping) plus whatever it'll cost me extra to have it shipped across the ocean is considerably more than what they go for on reverb, and even more than what european stores are asking for brand new left overs
New's pretty tempting since they aren't making any more.
Yeah, especially since the price seems right. There's a couple on reverb for $250-$300, exc shipping, so I'm having a hard time resisting the $200 inc shipping deal :s
Again though, I'm not entirely convinced it'll be impossible to find a used one for $125-ish, and since I'm kinda broke right now...
The ones on Reverb are probably folks who paid as-new street when it was new like I did (or shops that still have old stock), plus the usual couple opportunists.
That said, I expect the price to filter up to that point eventually but it won't be today.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.
Kinda weird that a company like Digitech is missing a full blown delay modeler in their product line, right? I would've expected they discontinued the time bender cause they finished something even mindblowing awesomer, but they kinda just XP3000'd the thing. Actually...It's worse, cause there were a shit ton of digitech whammy pedals afer the XP3000, just maybe nothing quite as good.
So still no digitech rumors on a Timebender V2 or something? I'd hate for one to be announced a day after I payed dearly for a NOS tb...:s

One of the funniest things I've ever read re: Gear is that TGP thread introducing their new delay. Loads of people being all like "well why doesn't it do XYZ" and the digitech bro just went "we made that. it was the Timebender. No one bought it."

Yep. Ditto with the Space Station. Ditto with the Lexicon Vortex, which would probably come back as a Digitech product if at all. Anyway, as much as Digitech insiders may love the OG and want to bring it back, the money men will point out the Edsel-like sales of the original.
