Nah it's mad. They almost always get gear questions during the Q and A and act like hilarious jerks about it. Chunklet did a good compilation of Bob Weston Q and A banter that should still be on their site.

i'm pretty sure it's just a long guitar strap put on differently. i remember hearing about it somewhere.

He's guitar belted. Show was great, they played nearly 20 songs, ridiculously tight. Steve's guitar playing / feedback is incredible. I couldn't see his guitar at all it was so low--but he was either using a tremolo or bending the ... aluminum neck? I recall his guitar was a hardtail though. Oppressive drumming.
