Besides you could get a TV , coral pink transistor radio and a car with big, big fins in surf green, Dakota red, burgundy mist or sea foam green.
People felt good and bought things to make them selves feel better, like hula hoops and Slinkys.
Forget about the re-emergence of organized crime, Juvenile delinquency, the birth of the outlaw biker culture and the belief that nuclear annihilation could happen tomorrow.

Ok there is just no excuse for the '80s.
