Tentacle is just an octave up? While retaining the original signal 50-50? Can't watch the vid right now but am LOVING the art

They said its the octave up portion of the hoof reaper, but I dont know what it's based on or anything.

Sounds like a green ringer. The fuzzhugger upper, which afaik is the same but with knobs, sounds KILLER on bass though, you might be surprised. Or maybe that's just Tom being a wizard.

Yeah, if I were to use it on bass, it would be in applications where low end wasn't a priority. Or in solo recording situations where I'm filling "guitarish" areas of the spectrum.

I may end up with all the pieces of a hoofreaper instead of just buying a hoofreaper.

The Mu-Fx octave divider has a green ringer in it. The Orbiter would be cooler if it had two wave frequencies for each filter and exp control over the distance between them (like in my imagination...may have to build my own some day). I don't know, just not that interested I guess.

that was my first thought as well... would require a few more knobs on a pedal that already has quite a few though. maybe they thought about this too? i would assume so.

I think in my head, the rate and frequency did this but it didn't sound like it (they say it only has one LFO)? Also, seems kind of a waste to have essentially 3 mix knobs (wouldn't you be able to mix out both filters with their dedicated knobs and not need the direct, or just do a balance between them and keep the direct knob)?

If they just switched the direct knob to offset or something, that would have been pretty damn
