pretty simple layout, but lots of cool gated sputtery sounds that are fun to put before and after reverb/delay.
Yes!

I'd also add the three knob + low gain switch Suneater. I've never had so much fun with so few knobs.

But it's truuuuue!

The clipping knob is great - on one side you get lofi/reedy/velcroy, on the other you get hifi/more modern/more open. And the gain range is all the way from dirty fuzzy od to sustained ripping velcro. And it stacks awesomely.

That can probably be said to a lot of nicer fuzz pedals - I mean, most of Tom's stuff covers insane amounts of territory - but there is something with the Suneater that just makes me want to play. A lot of the sounds I happen on are not sounds I'd use in my band very often, so that in itself is kinda fun and liberating.

That's the most "fun" pedal I have.

I had one a long while ago and it was really, really fun. I liked it because of how simple the controls were but how many different sounds were in it

I played Chankgeez last week when we hung out and it was AWESOME.
Bellyheart wrote:Ssbs No memory and trogotronic are my fun
I had a few Trogotronic synths years back. Remember when Geronimo came to the Triple? Awesome set.
KaosCill8r wrote:Maybe try and get your hands on an Infanem Improbability Drive or build yourself a clone since they are out of production now. I built one from a kit with a PCB and it even has a voltage starve, but I'm sure you can read schematics and work with Vero. Those things are a lot of fun and will have you tweaking for weeks and you still won't find all the sounds inside. The schematics out there are drawn from the E13 version (which is a dirty word around here these days) but I wouldn't let that stop you. I built mine just before all this recent shit blew up.
It's funny, I tried Grrface's when he had his a while ago. It was definitely tweakable, but I just couldn't get into it for whatever reason. :idk: Maybe I should try it again
elevenstrings wrote:Dimehead PLL, Hexe Revolver and CT5 definitely fit that bill on my board right now. And to be honest, my H9, BigSky, Timeline and Mobius just because of the infinite possibilities and doing stuff like syncing the Tap Tempo with different tap divisions (delay on quarter notes, quadrature on whole notes, etc.) and also controlling all 4 of them with a single expression pedal.
Yeah, I've been thinking about getting a big fancy box like the BigSky or the Space. Reverb is what I use most, so it definitely would be money well spent...

Nothing out of the ordinary in my fun pile this weekend. I played into a Moog Ring Mod, into a Particle, into a CT5, into a Judder, then into the glitch mode on the Radical Delay and got pretty fucked up for hours, yass.

Yeah the ID is hard to love on first play. I was tweaking for hours before I found some sounds I liked. But once I kind of worked out what each knob and switch kind of did the the sound, I was hooked. They are all kind of interactive with each other. There is some ugly unusable sounds in it but there are some ugly useable sounds to be found too. Then there are some nice useable sounds to be found. Then I plugged in my bass and had to start over again. It's definitely one of those pedals you need to have a note pad handy when you use it.

It seems like we barely scratched the surface too. I have lots more "FUN" pedals.

#1 - Digitech Timebender - All the weird non-delay things it does are so much fun to tweak.
#2 - Infanem Improbability Drive - The minute adjustments that make massive changes and the interactivity between guitar and pedal and amp make it endlessly captivating.

I've been playing my VTF all week - that and the Dr Sci Tremolessence are the only pedals I've played in a week. The VTF is now set up to sound like the Jesus Lizard sorta sharp attacky overdrive tone. Fucked if I know how I got it to sound like that, and if I or my children move any of the knobs I won't find it again, but damn! I love it. But given that it is unobtanium I didn't mention it. But I'm glad you mentioned it

Fun: Carlin Ring Mod because the carrier signal is whatever you choose to feed into it. The freakiest thing I've ever done with it was to modulate the entire outro mix of Jaga Jazzist opening show at Torp airport in Norway with a cheap ass microphone and a helicopter. That was so fun it was the last time I played with them ...
