The SR-16's samples are more effected than the HR-16's, with reverb you can't get rid of. i need to get my HR16 on.
yea funny how things are like that. i thought the kawaii had some great sounds in it. i think i had the R50e. its funny that they made separate units for electronic and acoustic sounds. like the HR16B too. i usually just sample the sounds on drum machines like this tho. load em up on my sampler, mix and match kits, resample the sounds, slap em on some tape and back.lordgalvar wrote:The alesis hr-16 clicked with me for some reason. Don't know why I understood it so well when other things piss me off. The Kawai R-50 was real weird to get used to with the little dash over a note symbol. I didn't like it.Dr. Sherman Sticks M.D. wrote:TR505 is super punchy. thats a good one.
rolands are fun to use. i find the alesis, kawaii menu styled operation less fun but prob a lil more deep.
the akai xr20 is also an updated sr16.
