I've been obsessed with that tone too. I thin a cosmichorus would do it nicely though. And of course, the warped vinyl.

I saw them open for Isis some years back and they had a lot of technical issues, or it seemed that way. Ya, not a thrilling live band but the tone on the records is so good.
I think his type of singing its hard to get across live. Soft vocals with heavy instruments. I imagine it would be difficult to get the mix in monitors right to hear one's self and sing in key.

anybuddy know how to achieve dat warble? it's all over this album.

I tried to use a Deco for it, but couldn't dial out that flange. meet maude gets close, but not enough. can a warped vinyl do it?
Warped Vinyl could 100% get that tone. Mk ii though. Mk I is way dark.

I need to check more of this stuff out, liked the first two, then lost touch...so yeah, need to go back into the discography...
