I'm sort of trying to get out of the buy to try treadmill, which means I'm thinking about some stuff I might want to re-buy more.

I actually have my second TAFM and my second RRR in the mail.

Still thinking about a third Megalith. The problem with them is that it's such a specific sound and doesn't fit with music I actually play, which is why it always ends up on the chopping block again. But man, it feels so good to play it and pummel the world into oblivion.

I don't think I regret anything else I've sold. There is some stuff I would go for again if it came up for a great price. Some delays like the El Cap or a Moog LPF.

I just got my second DSD-2 after I sold mine like two weeks ago. Dandolin kept bringing it up and I missed it. I was the one talking it up too. My brain is all haywire. Even worse: I keep trying to play with delay and it's cool for like a second and then I just use fuzz and forget that I have delay. I don't know. I only use my tape echo for like a bit of fullness.

Years ago (like 15) I kept getting DOD grunges somehow. Like people would offer them to me for free and I would think that this one would sound different or something (or that I could finally harness the terribleness). Then I would hate it, get rid of it, and get another one a month later. I think I went through at least 7 between 1998 and 2004. I think somebody gave me one as my first pedal in like 1996 because they wanted to get out of that cycle of it following them (but it might have been a bass distortion?). The sad thing is that I want to go see if I remember it correctly after an 11 year hiatus.

I've been through the Hall of Fame three or four times. Every time it was like «oh yeah, I just need a little box that gives me a variety of verbs, that TC one was ok, wasn't it?» But then it wasn't, and I kept realizing that I don't really use verbs for anything usefull.

My worst was the AD4096 and that was twice.

But I can't wait to see jwar's list when he sees this post :snax:

I don't sell them and then buy them again, I just buy them again even if I don't need them (well I always think I do obviously). I have 3 Dr Sci RRR, 2 Warped Vinyl, etc.

I've bought and sold about 7 or 8 MXR Distortion +. I love them and have more or less always had one, but I got in the habit of buying vintage ones for cheap and flipping them up for other stuffs. They're not as plentiful (or cheap) anymore, so that's slowed down lately.
I've also had a few Rats - but have settled in on a clone that sounds perfect, to my ears. Oh, and I'm on my second round of the first run Malekko delays (600s and 300s). I sold them off, thinking I could get by with a pair of 616Ds, but eff it. I bought them back again. LOL
They sound so good!!

Anyway. I'm trying a new thing, where I'm not selling pedals anymore. I wanna try and hang on to them - start stock-piling/collecting them. It just means I'll have to slow down a bit, and be more selective on what I buy and when.

I have only sold and re-bought the following items:

AB Synth - cos I needed the satan AB synth. So I flipped it and replaced it pretty much straight away.
Dr sci RRR - flipped a pyramids RRR I picked up in the bst and bought lasers from Ryan because I want to support the good doctor directly.

If I see an hm-2 cheap I usually pick it up to flip it because Swedish prices = arbitrage!

Had two Velcrobots and flipped one.

That's it. The rest is hoarded.

Don't sell stuff that often, but I seldom impulse buy stuff. Only pedal I've flipped and want to buy again is the Biyang Metal End King because it's probably my second favourite distortion after The Elements, and with the simulated speaker output it's a perfect pedal to have if my rig decides to explode mid gig. Also want to pick up a Pisdiyauwot again because it was super awesome as a low gain overdrive - more so than a high gain chunka chunka pedal.

Boss RV-5, three times now I think. I want it again, and keep it for good this time.

I keep wanting to flip my El Cap, and have almost done it several times since I got it 4 years ago. But every time I put it against another delay (other than the Echolution), the headroom of the other delays just never match the el cap and I stick with it.

I've never flipped a pedal. Only traded one. An Ibanez Smash Box. And I never want to see another one again let alone own one. I'm the anti-jwar.

I only sell out of necessity, and that's vanishingly rare.

My rule on guns, guitars, etc is if I sell it once and buy it again, it's never to leave because I'm not stupid enough to do it agian.
