sorry tristan
i didn't mean to direct that at anyone specific
basicaly with a PS6
i use +1 oct/dry/-1oct
it sounds like a bass/guitar/violin playing in unison
when you add fuzz to it
it sounds like sharknado
i WILL buy this
i asked brian about building a buzzzbox clone for my bassist months ago
this is so much cooler
in fact ill bu two, hell 3 if john wants one too
can't play favorites
"Daddy loves me more,SEE!"
"NO,he love me because...because...snf..snfff....whuuuhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh...MOMMMMMMY"

the sound effects and sc ore and screams all at once

I really like the set-up of the one on the reverb Circuits to Cure Cancer auction (parallel oct down/buzz or oct down INTO buzz), though I did not see a clean blend? and a "what?" switch?

No worries dude, I wasn't sure whether it was directed at me but I just thought I'd explain myself a bit better in a friendly way.
I don't know the PS-6 that well but my guess is that if it does +1 oct/dry/-1 oct at the same time it's probably also processed in parallel and then mixed inside the pedal.
Also, it's digital of course and I think it's polyphonic if I'm not mistaken, what we're talking about here is analog and therefore monophonic, which complicates matters a bit more.
Anyway, that's my take on it.
That PS-6 trick of yours sounds cool the way you describe it, and I'm sure there'll be lots of fun to be had with the Buzzz / Zubbb combo as well. :D

hmm ok so i'm kind of stuck in a complicated place... i *love* the idea of being able to use each effect independently but that would necessitate many stomp switches (4-5) and would lead to other issues. i've got a solid idea now though that i think makes a lot of sense...

fuzz/master bypass which turns on the buzzz, a separate octave down/clean stomp switch which turns on the low octave AND/OR the clean blend and a pretty neat idea - a rotary series/parallel selector which gives either a parallel mix of all 3 signals, fuzz > octave/clean or octave/clean > fuzz. way too many options now for how to use the pedal. fuckloads.

- i added a mid-boost for the non-scooped mode as well.
- slightly larger enclosure (1590DD)
- person will get t-shirt.
- i also won't be shipping until the end of august because of tour - this way i can get a nice PCB made, etc. and not have it rushed.

updated pic, not confirmed by reverb.com yet but hey you fuzzyboyz can get the good looks first.

This makes me ache in a good way.

So, is the clean blend active even when the octave down is off?

This has quickly turned into an obsession for me. I've checked this thread like 10 times in the past 2 hours just to gaze longingly at this.

i can't condone this. teeth are more important.

no, although you can obviously just turn down the octave down volume if you want only clean/fuzz. this was one thing that i had to compromise on or use an extra footswitch which would drastically change the layout.

i wanted to do something similar to the octron in terms of switching but with the additional series/parallel stuff *and* the scoop/up switch but shit's just getting out of hand with all of that. :trippy: :trippy: :trippy:

I think you've found a good balance between awesome tweakability and pedalboard friendliness.

I'm gonna start bugging you about this in August/September.
