I was going to suggest that too, but I was just going to wait for clairification and I wasn't sure how it interfaced CV and midi ins and stuff. Haven't looked at 'em in a while.
The Behringer wasn't too bad to program. It was all done through the little lcd. The expression pedals were kinda plug-and-play with the adrenalinn. It's been almost ten years since I have had it and I don't remember too much. You can do tap tempo and all that stuff too.

Thank you guys so much.
The Beatstep looks like a great solution, and I'll probably go with that.
So much wisdomknowledge around here.

Holy butts.
That sounds amazing and horrifying.
How limited is the Behringer by comparison?
Never used it personally, but I did some research by reading the manual and watching some videos. And I can tell that the Behringer was quite good for sending only a few Program Changes and CCs to different devices, but not as powerful as any of the Liquid Foot controllers.
At the end I think it depends on how much MIDI stuff do you want to do and how much $ you want to spend on it.

I think an EHX 8 step would work just fine and eliminate the need for midi to cv conversion.
The beat step looks cook but has a lot of functions that you couldn't really use. With the CV you can't send multiple changes.

i personally would suggest to try what you wanna do with a DAW (cubase?) first. You can CC the fuck out of some pedals. Can be cool. But do you really need it?
I love working with MIDI (and CC) in the studio. Live i only use the MIDI clock sync. And i'm not sure if i will change that any time soon...

For program and CC changes, I use the FCB1010. I burned my own uNo chip for it, which helps expand some of the capabilities. Works great.
For the tempo, I use a Molten Voltage Master Control. It's fantastic.
The real trick though depends on how much equipment you're trying to control. Sometimes daisy chaining presents it's own problems, the biggest being communication degradation, or worse, crosstalk. This is especially true when lots of CC messages start flying around. So, if you're looking to control, say, 4 pedals, it's sometimes best to use a splitter (i.e. Quadra Thru), than to use the pedal thru's. When I built my rig, I ran into big problems with that. When lots of messages would start being transmitted, adjacent equipment in the loop would start to do funky (read: unwanted) things. Now I have a DMC MX-8 in the rack, and a Quadra-Thru on the board to handle all the message traffic.
Something to think about.
