I'd go Donner or Monoprice. Probably the same damn circuit @ 1/2 price.

MEC is right. Guyatone md-3, or the newer md-m5 or whatever it is. I have the md3 and it is super, super clean. Turn up all the time second hand. The newer model (mdm5 or whatever) is true bypass and has a tone knob, which is awesome. In fact I should probably get one. Hmmm...

I'm still going to say suck it up and try the Retro Sky. If you don't like the case, it's easy enough to fix bro. Seriously. haha. Lots of options in that box. You will be happy.

Or get a Carbon Copy and deal with side jacks. :)

OR you could have VFE custom make something. Or any number of builders.

Hadn't heard of this, but it's intriguing. Distorted repeats could be really sweet.

The loop is a single TRS jack...does it come with a y cable (trs/2x ts), or do you have to make/buy one elsewhere?

Everybody should have a few of those ys around for good measure... You can get the Hosa ones pretty cheap almost anywhere...

Also I was playing my MF Delay and realized it's only slightly bigger than a 125b and has top mount and exp in and a nice drive and can do really good slapback... :idk:

Plus Moogjos...

How does the drive work on it? Is it on the input signal, so like just adding an OD, or is it only on the delayed signal? And I think you mean it's only slightly bigger than a 125BB. No? To be fair I've never actually seen one in the wild so I have no right to correct you...

The drive I guess is last in the chain, if you turn time and fdbk all the way down and drive and mix all the way up it's just an awesome overdrive... It's exactly in the middle between the size of a 125b and 125bb so like 125b1/2 maybe... A lil bigger then one and not as big as the other...

Prolly is what you want Neon-B...

Also you can blend the clean back in with the mix knob so if you had verb or something (RRR) before it you can get a nice balance with the drive... Time or fdbk are controllable with exp...

I was actually looking at the MF delay this morning! I think its gonna be the one.

Does the drive boost the volume or just add clipping to the repeats? I can't stand pedals without some sort of volume control. Especially delays and reverbs that have a tendency to sound quiet anyways.

Yeah, I'm sitting here playing with two... Actually with the time, fdbk and mix all the way down you can still use it as a great overdrive, with the time and fdbk down and the mix at noon it fattens up and sounds huge and then with them down and the mix all the way up it's a darker kinda drive cause it's going through the delay but it's turned down... With the mix and drive you can easily get it to sit well with other pedlols... If you set up a nice slapback with delay at 9 and fdbk at 12 you can use the mix to bring it in as much as you want and then use the drive to boost that, you can have a real subtle delay vs clean mix but still make it stand out with moar drive... Also you can crank everything and take off...

Nice!

Like I said before, its going to be mostly slapback. Sandwiched between some dirts and reverbs probably. Thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna go after one in the next week or two.

Wanna get rid of one of yours? :D

No but everyone wants one... I could prolly have a board of just MF > El Cap > MF... The MF is good on my Bari, Jag Bass, active Precision, Minitaur, Opus 3, Jazz, or whatever you throw at it... The new ones look meh so get an older one and a exp pedal... :thumb:

They pop up on reverb fairly cheap pretty often so I'll be on the lookout
