To be perfectly honest with you man...having owned several Meatheads myself, just stay away unless you've got loads of money to blow. way overpriced and there are many cheaper alternatives that blow the meathead out of the water. just like someone stated above, the thing just turns into pure mud no matter what you do unless your playing through single coil pups. don't get me wrong, it's a pretty groovy pedal but in the overall scope of things i would recommend just about anything else. if your hellbent on getting a DAM product i will recommend the Sonic Titan, especially if your playing a tube amp, that pedal shreds. after years and years of buying and selling pedals to find that killer fuzz only one pedal has stood above all and the test of time....the Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard. that pedal does everything and anything you could ever want/need so i would recommend you track one of those down asap! good luck on your hunt....

Grab yourself a soldering iron and diy. It's not rocket science and it is a rewarding hobby.

I've made a bunch of variations over the years under the Antler Fuzz name, latest does regular meat, dark meat and darker on the flick of a toggle. Really happy with my transistor choices now. Looking at 100 dollars shipped any in the world. Choice of Matamp or Chickenhead knob.

Been thinkin about getting a tyrant myself. Its too cheap to bother busting out the soldering irong and sourcing parts myself, and cheaper than the sun machine clone as well. Btw...I dont suppose anyone knows if one of those nine of swords fuzzes happens to be a sonic titan clone?

No idea -- just went digging on his site though and the Harmonic Percolator graphic is super fucking lame.

"the graphic is a tribute..."

What a fucking knob.

http://dunnoeffects.bigcartel.com/produ ... opean-fuzz Based off a Dark Meathead.
http://dunnoeffects.bigcartel.com/product/nyarlathotep Based off the Sonic Titan.
Dunn makes really quality stuff, I have his Cyclopean fuzz limited edition that he released 4 or 5 of each with it's own unique acid etched case. I had him add a Power Bias control to mine.
