you just want to crossfade between two different signals? wouldn't be terribly difficult but like goroth said to do it well you would need some supporting circuitry. how exactly would you want the chain to run? that's the important question.

not between two different signals, from one signal to two different paths. then a Y cable rejoining them.

ah ok i get it now
so yeah, you need pretty much the keymaster minus the XLR plugs, the boost functions and the stomp switches.

I have a little stompbox mixer from Morley I use for this sometimes. I put a volume pedal in one path, then I can have either one on or both, then use the volume pedal to fade in the second. Doesn't fade the first out, but I have the cleaner one as the primary and fade in the dirtier and it really masks it, versus trying to fade in clean which isn't as effective.
