You don't need to get all complicated with voltage inverters. If your friend is happy to power the pedal from a separate adaptor (or one with isolated outputs) then you just wire a power socket into it like this:
(Just copy the power wiring bit)

The only thing you can't do is use a daisy chained power connector.
As for noise, that can be easily eliminated by putting filtering caps across +ve and -ve. 100uF and 100nF with a small 10 or 100 ohm resistor in series before them should do the trick.
(Or use the madbean thingy and make it all posh)
