Get the new boss mega big thing. RFK has the tabletop version and raves about it. Damn it, that dude has given me so much gas for stuff I dont want haha
Can arrange the effects in any order you choose or is there a set order?rfurtkamp wrote:Yea, the Boss GT-100/001 (latter is the tabletop, no FS version, but you can run an external FS-6 etc if you desire) is flat out stupid good.
All the first run of the Boss MDP pedals (Tera Echo, Overtone, etc), 3 simultaneous delays available, 2 signal chains, a partridge in a pear tree, obscene routing and automation options, robust computer editor (and doesn't require it at all either).
I could *almost* function with just it.
Any order. Two discrete chains. Can filter signal to chains by envelope strength, pan, equal, mixer, etc. as well. GT100 has a mono FX loop that's moveable as well (which is why I'm considering getting one of those as well). There are only two you cannot move - the two amp sims are each in their own chain (can be the same, turned off/etc).plaidbeer wrote:Can arrange the effects in any order you choose or is there a set order?rfurtkamp wrote:Yea, the Boss GT-100/001 (latter is the tabletop, no FS version, but you can run an external FS-6 etc if you desire) is flat out stupid good.

So you can set the expression pedal to control aspects of a few different effects all at the same time?rfurtkamp wrote: At any given time (all on possible):
- If GT-001 you need an expression pedal (which sadly disables the ability to use a FS-6 but you can also assign it to *anything*, including multiple parameters or part of the sweep to different things, etc. 100 supports additional expression pedals as well past the built-in.
Basically, this is the kitchen damn sink in ridiculous chains.
Whoops misread it: I thought we were talking about the GL-100. I really need some sleep.rfurtkamp wrote:This isn't a rack unit. I'd love it if it was. GT100 is a floorboard, GT001 is a tabletop processor (cheaper due to lack of switches, road-worthy housing, same exact signal capacity except the analog fx loop, patches are interchangeable).
Should add that the units do acceptable (if not perfect compared to my GR55) guitar to MIDI as well out over the USB (and surprisingly doesn't disable the onboard effects when you do it or the analog signal). It's monophonic but it worked well enough with a few Mellotron softsynths I tested it with.
