It'd be great to see some more 'out there' stuff from Chase Bliss, too. How 'bout an analog ring mod meets (obviously digital) bit crusher/sample rate reducer as a sort of multi (FrantaRandy)? Or a 2-voice pitchshifter/harmonizer and/or arpeggiator with whammy capabilities when you hook up an expression pedal (Pitch Bay/Fork on steroids)?backwardsvoyager wrote:but like, FLANGER WHEN

This. I feel like that might be a kind of niche product, but such a cool one.oscillofuzz wrote:It'd be great to see some more 'out there' stuff from Chase Bliss, too. mm, i kinda doubt ring mod/crusher effects would really fit the demographic but i could see some sort of octaver working.. the pedals are all digitally controlled analog so to keep with the theme i dunno how you could get like arpeggiators and stuff going. what you're describing is all inside the dr scientist bitquest so definitely check that out, it's insanely cool.oscillofuzz wrote:It'd be great to see some more 'out there' stuff from Chase Bliss, too. i just want an analog flanger with all this crazy dipswitch control and feature set. would probably get beyond lovetone territory with the wackiness that could open up.
don't need any of the current pedals personally as tempting as they are, but i'll definitely sit here clenching my buttcheeks til there's a flanger so i can throw all of the money at it.

Yeah, and like its only so long before you can exhaust all your options within the bounds of "normality" and revisions. And one would have to imagine there will be less revisions as he goes along and solidifies his format.
Analog octaves and ring mod with all these exp capabilities would be mad. I would also love to see a xero deluxe style filter.
Or a mutron kinda vibe thing. It'd kill.
That said, I would have to imagine that there would be a delay, flange and boost/drive/fuzz. Instead of Tap tempo you could switch between two dif circuits with a preset each or something. A Chase Bliss take on the Maestro parametric thing like the PDF could be mad and potentially competitively priced if you consider the fact that he has lowered the price on the gravitas presumably because a trem is a less intensive build the vibrato/phase (not to discredit the work that I am sure he has put into it, of course!)
I dunno, its 1:30am and I'm just kinda rambling but id love to see all of that.

So what's the height of that toggle between the stomp switches?Ev_O))) wrote:![]()
Seems like it might be sort of accidentally smooshable?

I'd wager for a delay and flanger, for sure...Ev_O))) wrote:Yeah, and like its only so long before you can exhaust all your options within the bounds of "normality" and revisions. And one would have to imagine there will be less revisions as he goes along and solidifies his format.

Prices should stabilize now that he can anticipate demand (versus just being a startup and having to roll out smaller batches because 1) you are cash-poor and 2) you cannot be certain if enough people are gonna bite to make it worth producing). Also, he's probably got a lot of shared components between designs now, which means buying in larger quantities, and a lot of the logic for the digital control is likely shared / sharable, which cuts down on development time / costs.
In short, I like everything that he's made so far and I look forward to whatever he decides to make next!

I don't think he should lower prices even if he is able. He has established himself as a premium brand. Lowering the cost would be counterproductive to that image, assuming that is an image he is comfortable with and wants to set forth. I know in the past he said he wished the price was lower on the Warped Vinyl. That said, if he wants to give me a discount on the trem I won't complain.

I don't think it's fucking funny since I just bought a Warped Vinyl a couple months ago.

Oh yeah, not saying he should drop his prices... just that the development "base" he has now will help him 1) develop new products more quickly / easily and 2) branch out into more "out there" effects if he so chooses...

Joel's addressed this issue before. I'm guessing they're the same as the MK I pedals. The toggle is shorter than the switches. Totally not smooshable.Seance wrote: So what's the height of that toggle between the stomp switches?
