Another awesome demo Eivind. Those things are fucking crazy. Steep learning curve on them. Though you did real well with it after such a short time. I built a clone squeezed into a 1590B enclosure in horizontal format with a stomp switch for the gate and oscillation mode. Thought I'd fucked someting up but after hearing that I now know it works just fine

I actually want to play with this here pedal again. I messed with it for a few minutes when Hypnodrone was in ma hizzle, but I never really got a feel for it. I did now, and I want to show it to my neighbour. :)*
Yeah, as Kaos mentions, it has a pretty steep learning curve. The first couple of minutes I was sure I was going to dislike it. But then I got a hang on what the knobs approximately do, and fell in love.
Hypnodrone wrote:Hey! I had no idea it could do all those sounds. I need more quality time with it ...
Edit: I just realized most of the other videos of this pedal on the interwebz are about how to replicate the intro to "Vertigo" by U2 ... I feel it's tainted now ... Must wash with bleach.
Haha, I'm pretty sure it can do a lot more as well. Problem is I often found myself stuck on one setting because it was awesome. Had to force myself to move on.
And yeah, that's kind of why I want to do these demos. I mean, I'd try/buy these fuzzes anyway because of the love for oscillation, but I also get to make demos that don't, uhm, cover up the noise? Like, a lot of oscillation fuzz demos out there seems to stay away from noisy or weird sounds, instead focusing on what I called '"normal" sounds'. I want to show the NOIZE. :!!!:

Thanks, dude. It is indeed crazy. Would have loved a footswitch for gate/osc, great idea.

Wow, never gave it much thought but that thing is actually really neat, the way you showed it make it seem much cooler than the other videos I saw of it. :thumb:
Too bad it's so (much too) freaking expensive though. :(

Do a clone, bro.

Thanks, man. Yeah, they are expensive. Then again, it has a sound of its own that IMO is worth that price (worth it as in there are pedals that cost more and do less on the market, not worth it in an ideal way).

There sure are much more expensive pedals on the market that do less or are less unique but considering the build quality of Death By Audio and the way they've positioned it in in their line I'm not totally convinced, my 2 cents.
I'll be more than happy with my Wolf Computer and Incinerator Custom (once it's ready) though! :D

Hm, I've heard negative things about their build quality before as well, but know next to nothing about circuitry desing. :idk: WC and Incinerator sounds sweet though, great pedals.

There's one for sale locally and now I really, really want it haha! It's a shame that I have 7 kronor on my transaction account. Sad panda.

maybe try building this if you are big into the atari-velcro-fart scene.

http://parasitstudio.weebly.com/uploads ... s_fuzz.gif
http://parasitstudio.weebly.com/buildin ... chaos-fuzz

delivers a lot of bang for a couple of cheap chips. fits neatly within the tone mine you are working. more chaotic-static than linear-buzz in style.

fredrik is freppo here and on diysb/fsb.

am more into old school fuzz tones myself, this was a curiosity build. but for those who like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like.

and keep the demos coming. you give good demo.
