Sorry, I was on mobile before and then it died before I could check.
They were a bit more expensive when only a couple of places had them last time I checked.

I see that now.
I will probably pull the trigger later in the week once I'm sure I don't need the money for a surprise bill or some shit.

Edit: just found an ebay seller with free international shipping. Had one left so I pulled that trigger.
Oh YEAH!

I wouldn't be surprised if sometime soon they will release a deluxe version in an enclosure the same size as a Memory Boy or Micro POG. Will probably have CV control, maybe even an fx loop or even more tweakability. :idk: I'm just speculating. I just get the impression this version is just to feel out the guitar playing public for what they plan to do in the future.

I would love to see that. I like what they do with their "deluxe" type pedals with weird features. The Stereo Polyphase had some really cool options, for example, but the base sound was just weak. Combine that sort of interesting control scheme with a really nice sounding phaser and I'd be pretty interested.

Bad ass. I forgot you weren't in the Conus; didn't think about shipping and what.

It just makes sense doing it this way. Mike Matthews is a smart business man. I guess you don't survive bankruptcy twice without learning a few things. But releasing this version first is a clever move. Invest a small amount of cash re-releasing a classic pedal. The circuit was already designed over thirty years ago so no need to re-design. Then use the profits from this version to create the tweaked bigger box version with all the bells and whistles. Now he just needs to bring back the proper versions of classic Big muffs. The Triangle, Rams Heads and also The Russians too.

I know, nuts right? Anyway with the exchange rate I got out just sub $100AU so Id be an idiot not to jump on that.

A deluxe version would indeed be pretty awesome.
RE expression control, I do have an old crybaby I just don't use anymore, I was thinking if I can hunt down a matching wah style pot for then this could get rehoused.

I'd kill someone in the face for a reissue and to spec Russian muff. I'm surprised that there hasnt been a line of Russian reissues.
Bring back the MIGs! With better quality control and options.
100w MIG 50 please. All that cleanness.
That bass muff that's out now is supposed to be close to a Rus. Muff isn't it?

Don't let Muddfuzz hear you say that...

They're not as bassy or loose as the Black Russians, sounds like it's a nano version cause it is... I liked it better on guitar and analog keys and the D.I. is ok if you want to record...

That BBM DLX looks like it might worth a spin for the giggles though, crossover... :idk:

True, thanks soni.

Yeah I haven't played it, that's just what I heard around the internets.

deluxe bad stone would rule
ive been tryin to get a pigtronix envelope phaser
should say tryin to get one cheap
that would be a sweet way to go
while were talkin bout it
(in case matt michaels is reading this)
what else would you want in that big box?
delay/verb would be an easy go to
instant winner
holy grailstone?
bad grail?
i still wanna try that envelope phaser
if you heard this new bad stone though
it just swallows dirt and spits it out so good
but whats the chances the dirt they put in there would be good
oh shit if they put the pulsar with it
with syncable rates
but able to unsync as well
what else?

Bad grail is the best name ever.

I like that sync and un-sync (?) idea, like what that mxr double phase 90 has going on.
That'd be mad with two bad stones, along the ability to select how many phase stages on each, and to set manual shift individually, parrellell or series.
Maybe pair one up with a mistress for crazy robot sounds?

oh man 2 bad stones
pulsar
and holy grail verb in one box
CV on the manual rate knob
and stereo outs
goddammit if they could pan back n forth
like crisscross eachother while phasing
up/down- left/right-in/out
but all doubled and opposite
that would be a crazy psych machine
i feel like it would create an altered states whirlpool thing

So it seems like you can get some cocked-wah-type sounds out of the manual mode? Neat!

Damn it.
Looks like the ebay store are sending me a regular small stone instead of the bad stone.
I'm still not sure why.
I know when I paid for it, I was on the bad stone page, but the link to my order in ebay says small stone and takes me to the page for one.
Hopefully its just some kind of inventory error or something.
Grrrr.

Edit: Nope. Order fucked up somehow.
Just heard back from the seller though. He was pretty cool and will send me out a Bad Stone when I send him a return shipping number.
Just gonna hafta wait a little longer. :(
