I like my Ampeg GVT15 pretty well. Really powerful eq, switchable to 7.5w, but I prefer to run it at 15 and keep the volumes lower. Good clean toanz at low volume.

Seems like they were being discontinued or something a while back and were selling for pretty cheap.

Let us know how it goes with the new whip. And if you come across a Champ, send it my way!

Just don't answer the door. If they ask why, just say you didn't hear them. :p

Enjoy your new amp. Still look into speaker options!
Also people who call the cops like that, instead of knocking on your door themselves = the real bad neighbors.
How difficult is it to introduce yourself, say "Hey that's too loud for me at this time, I have a small child or sleep for work now" and figure out a usable *quite time volume* as well as a scheduled window, or range of opportunity for you to go loud with music.
That goes such a long way and doesn't sow seeds of resentment that will eventually manifest into other *bad neighbor* issues.

Fender Greta is a very nice sounding small amp. With The built in speaker you get a nice fuzzy Sound that won't Stress any neighbors.
I pulled out the picovalve yesterday and it sounds very good at low volumes too. Pretty good to dial in and Takes pedals great.

With neighboayrs like that, there's a good chance that the only option you'll be left with...Would be headphones :idk:

I was gonna suggest to keep one amp that's at least 15Watt, in case you do play out in the near future. An okay attenuator should be easy enough to find used for considerably less than what an another amp would cost, and it'll allow you to noodle at home without hassling anyone...Guess I was wrong though, good luck with the Blues Jr III and bad neighbour siuation :s

I had a tweed Pro Jr for a while, KILLER little amp. I just came to terms with tye fact that, for me, it's "go big or go home". Destructive fuzzy toanz through a litte 10" combo: Pass.

I love my jcm2000 DSL 100. That said they made a limited edition 1 watt verisions of all their classics. I've really wanted to hear one and if I had dick neighbors I wpuld totally buy it.had a old fender Champ that was sick but they actually get loud. I've always introduced myself to all neighbors in close proximity and gave them my phone number and have told them too call me whenever to be quite and I play guitar and bla bla ba and if you need anything bla bla. Never before got a noise complaint and I've lived in multiple apartment complexs. Maybe I'm lucky?

Nah the noise complaint was legit my fault. I got excited with a new amp and it sounded better the more I turned up - didn't realize how loud I was getting. First complaint I've ever had. Only thing that bugs me is that whoever reported me didn't even bother talking to me - just went straight to the cops. Kinda paranoid now, not sure what kind of volume I'm allowed to have :erm:

Good news is the Blues Jr seems like exactly what I was looking for :joy:

My Blackheart Little Giant has never had any problems or even needed to be serviced since I got it back in '08.

I've owned about 8 different amps since getting it, but this has been the most reliable and consistent sounding amp i've used. Takes pedals like a beauty and sounds pretty dark. Granted I don't need a whole heap of volume for the nonsense that I play - at the moment.
