To be fair, the Vortex was the red-headed stepchild of the time.
They didn't know how to market weird and weird didn't sell then like it does now.
You got most of the sounds of half these units in spite of themselves, the Vortex always seemed like "engineers came up with cool shit nobody with sense would want but it's on the Alex frame/hardware, so #yolo!"
