okay well... thanks to everybody who seems to dig it. heres a little backstory on the pedal

a few months ago we decided we wanted to do a limited run pedal that's what we wanted out of a fuzz pedal. we all like big muffs, so naturally.. we wanted a muff clone. does the world need another muff clone? obviously not.. do we care? ..... so we hit up ryan and told him we wanted a rams head style muff with more mids. ryan honestly killed it and the pedals sound awesome, i opened mine up and it looks pretty good in there.

obviously the pedal isn't gonna be to everyones tastes, but that wasn't the point.

and as far as the bluebeard comparison, our bass player has one and they definitely do different things. and they'll both be on his board

That's awesome.

Obviously, the Bluebeard isn't the only modded Muff. Yeah, never enough Muffs.

Thanks for posting even though everyone decided to be a dick in this thread. The promo video was hilarious and I think the pedal sounds rad. :animal:

Dude this is ILF. People talk about gear this way sometimes. So don't get your panties in a bunch.

Plus I thought I was being nice.

Sorry for coming off as a dick. I must still have a bad taste in my mouth from Ry being a dick to me last time I spoke with him. But to each their own.

I'd also like to add that the reason the Afterlife is built better is cause Brian from ss/bs did their PCBs. Not to stir more shit up, just giving credit where its due.

We're not all destined to have great experiences every time. I deal with a lot of people and I know there are people who I've been assholes to on this occasion or that. Sometimes merited and sometimes not. Any number of reasons Ry could have been rude. Maybe it was or wasn't intended. I don't feel like we need to air those grievances here going further but I also didn't think you were throwing anybody under the bus. This isn't the first time you or somebody has brought up the wiring and I think in the past SS/BS Brian has stated that he had been doing some work with Ry on just that.

As I said, I didn't really think you were stirring the pot with anything you said but that's because I've seen you talk about it here and threads I've lurked on B9. You're always diplomatic about it and never a fucking jerk. You state it plainly that you think his wiring needs work.

I've talked with Ryan a couple of times and we've shot the breeze. We've always been on good terms and I like the guy a good deal but don't expect everybody to feel the same way. So it goes.

That's totally true. I think Brian talked about that not long ago. Honestly I think that is fucking great. You look at bigger small companies and there are guys who are better at one thing versus another. This is exactly that. Brian designs a killer PCB so why not leverage that where you can.

It's clear that Ry does cool shit. His pedals sell and they're killer. MXR did a collab with him because they recognize that he's all about that bassssssss. Dude knows some shit, as far as I'm concerned.
