If some time ago then maaaaaybe I can imagine.
I started doing work for Mark back in 2011. The DOD stuff was about a year ago.

this is very interesting! i'd potentially use it for lower gain settings than what's in the video...awaiting additional demos.

I know I don't need one of these. But I also know that I'll eventually own one.

Who's been using one of these?

Now that they've been out for a while, looking for some impressions.

I've been looking into one of these lately. How does it stack with fuzz?

I'm also curious. Need a distortion/fuzz/drive with more tone control than anything I have.

Don't suppose you ever tried a Dr Scientist The Elements or an EQD Talons?

Gotto admit though, the boneshaker's amount of gain combined with the parametric eq...Almost seems impossible to dissapoint :idk:

Those are the main ones I am also considering. Just trying to figure out which one will be most :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

It replaced an OCD clone that was my main dirt. I read it pulls from a lot of different circuits, and I hear a lot of familiar things going on. Reminds me a lot of what I hear out of DOD250s, but it clearly has a LOT more gain; it also gets pretty fuzzy at higher settings, and doesn't seem to get saturated in the same way a lot of other dirt boxes do. I also hear a very present clarity about it, like somehow there's clean signal blended in somewhere, but I doubt that's what's actually happening. It may be a type of asymmetrical clipping, where half of the waveform is relatively uncompressed and clear sounding. Because of this clarity, it LOVES other dirt boxes and dirty amps; both as a boost and being boosted.

I had some questions and here's what I gleaned from Digitech:

The depth control works backwards (and is used for tightening up the lows by choking the amount of bass frequencies that it receives) and works down to about 30 hz (HELLO BASS). It has an odd setup for distortion, where most of the gain is in the last quarter turn of the knob (for more shades of overdrive; I wanted more shades of distortion and fuzz :( ). It's also LOUD AS FUCK in typical BAT fashion.

As far as the EQ goes, I can confirm that each EQ band can be set to distort on it's own, which is useful for getting more gain than with the gain control, although can sound weird depending on what frequencies you're clipping. They either didn't know or ignored my question about the range of each EQ control, but to my ears the frequencies don't meet up at opposing extreme settings, IE maxed bass and minimum mids are not particularly close in frequency. I would have appreciated something approaching overlap, as it could be helpful to boost low mids and cut high mids and vice versa.

All in all it's an incredibly well rounded device, and with proper EQing strategies can do most styles of music well. I can be practically WHEREVER I want in the mix, which is also handy. :animal:
