Watched demo. Want hard.

Maybe the Creepy Fingers Harikari (based off the "standard fuzz" SF variant)? Brad playing in Fu Manchu, I think he knows his superfuzzies.
I came here to say this.

Also to weep over the fact that I may have to let my FZ-2 go soon.

Some people hate em, but I think the Superfuzz style circuit might be my fave.
WWPD?

I totally love that pedal! For me the great problem with the Superfuzz types is getting lost in a mix. Since they take away all your attack and replace it with fuzz it can be easy to lose yourself in a band. The parametric EQ does an amazing job of tailoring the tone to cut through in any situation. It would also probably go a long way if you'd need to set up for very different rooms / rigs. Also if you don't need to worry about the mix you can use the EQ to shape the tone just right.

Amazing pedal. And to me it's completely mysterious how it does not have a huge cult following among fuzzheads.

Yeah, those Maxon 10-series seem pretty amazing, would love to try the Ether and Fire. And they're a cool brand. Maybe they're not b00teek enough?

Agreed. As for the reason the Maxon 10-series isn't more popular: Probably the reasonable price, the brand name, and the meh graphics.

And on the subject of Superfuzz clones with a Parametric EQ: No need to look further than where we started. FZ-2 FTW ;)

I'll admit though, the Maxon Ether seems to be more faithfull to the real thing, and in that cathegory I can't think of any other pedal that has the graphic eq.
