Afaik it's as good as completely original. In as much as a simple fuzz is original. Pitch pirate is also straight from Doug's brain. All of his other pedals are TS clones.
He's rad.

they traced it on freestompboxes. it's not based on anything but doug being awesome.

yeah, i'm glad this thread was started cause its been too long away from the utter stutter and now i'm looping all sorts of new pedals to great effect.

This pedal is brilliant. And I mean that with the full weight of the American sense of the word, as in, he really is a fucking genius. The entire internet says op-amp clipping is BAD. So he takes creates a fuzz around the op-amp known for the worst sounding clipping characteristics, the TL072, and it's great. What an epic go fuck yourself to the cookie-cutter sentiment. Aggressively original. Love it!
