sorry--i disagree with your first sentence. especially if you have a lot of pedals stacked and then cut in the rv-3. but i agree with your second sentence--it's still a great reverb, but you have to work around the quirk.ThurberMingus wrote:Any issues with the RV-3 completely dissapear in a band setting. Agree to disagree. I only notice the cut when I'm home alone, but I run mine before delay.cheesecats wrote:sorry--i disagree with your first sentence. especially if you have a lot of pedals stacked and then cut in the rv-3. but i agree with your second sentence--it's still a great reverb, but you have to work around the quirk.ThurberMingus wrote:Any issues with the RV-3 completely dissapear in a band setting. if you guys weren't aware - the cut out only applies to your dry signal. you can avoid it if you stop playing momentarily when switching the pedal on/off. the reverb tail won't cut out.ThurberMingus wrote:Agree to disagree. depending on how you play this can be a good workaround, and is probably why some people don't notice it and others are bothered by it.
i don't notice it live but it came through a lot when i recorded with the pedal so i try avoiding the cut by modifying my playing a little when stomping on it.

I hate having to change the way I play just because someone at roland didn't design a pedal right the first time.

if there is a signal coming through the pedal (like a sustained note or chord), it will be momentarily interrupted when you engage it. it's a well known issue. i have several rv-3s, and it happens on all of them.echodeluxe wrote:what quirk

But couldn't that be used as Glitch/chop? It wouldn't really be applicable in country or Big Band lounge jazz, but seems like it could be used as a feature. Like into a looper....cheesecats wrote:if there is a signal coming through the pedal (like a sustained note or chord), it will be momentarily interrupted when you engage it. it's a well known issue. i have several rv-3s, and it happens on all of them.echodeluxe wrote:what quirk
