Had a look inside the control cavity of the humbucker version. I was pleasantly surprised to see a film cap (0.047µ) on the tone pot (250K). I was expecting a shitty ceramic cap.

Just saw that there is a bound red model. For $89? It would be stupid not to buy it. Is it a terrible idea to mount a Jazzmaster trem on one of these bad boys?

I like that ash tele they have on there. It seems like it would be a fun project guitar.

I've been itching for a tele type guitar. Damn you ILF for bringing this to my attention right when I'm thinking about it.....

I'm tempted by the one the baritone jazzmaster. $169 for exactly a guitar I assumed would be like 10x that

It's just me, Mrs Doommeow, and the two felines.

But we live in Manhattan. Our last dinner out - and we went some place "reasonable", both ordered the prix fixe, glass of wine for her & a wee dram for me - was more or less the price of 2 SX teles. Before tip. And the meal wasn't that great.

I'd rather have the tele.

I want to pick up that P90 tele and put in a proper P90 and maybe change the electronics+do some fretwork. Always thought my next guitar would have a P90 in it, but it never happened. Hmmm. Wonder what they charge for shipping to Norway...

Actually at this very moment I am living in pseudo-debt land (not big time or anything. Just owe the roomie some money), I live with my girlfriend, who would not be nearly as excited about a red bound tele as I am. I eat like 10+ PB n Js a week, it's absurd. Suffice to say I'm not rolling in dough right now. It doesn't help that my lady wants to leave town on trips every weekend. Not working + going out to eat everyday + not being home = me with no tele.

Come tax return time though, I'm buying one of these and the cheesiest 80s synth I can get my hands on!

Also: you guys cray, I usually spend like $50 max when we go out to eat. But we never go anywhere that fancy or drink wine.

P90 tele and stratoclone arrived a few days ago. Strat's great right out of the box. Action was really high on the tele and I haven't got the intonation quite right yet but yeah, these guitars are totally worth $90+shipping. Should be fun to experiment with.

Looks like they come strung with brand new D'Addarios, s'cool because I use these strings anyways
