perhaps the 'mooncaster' style from warmoth.com? it's still pretty elegant.

I slept on a Rhoney Starcaster neck (B&B no less) but I think that headstock is too swishy for this. I might reserve the snake head for some eventual Esquire (or a more traditional La Cab) and just stick with my gut - the Jazzmaster headstock is pretty perfect, after all.

Okay resuscitating this because there's no point making another thread...
I have a D&B baritone neck (Jazzmaster headstock) that I had planned on using with a JM body and grip of vintage parts that I've been slowly amassing, but it occurs to me that I don't really get on with "normal scale" guitars. So maybe I should see the JM body and bits, and use the baritone neck with this Telecaster body. A bari Jazzmater is somewhat less "done" than a bari Tele, but if I did this I'd be able to complete the "Baritone La Cabronita Telebastard", clear out some space in the workshop, save myself from having a 25.5" scale Tele and... I dunno, make things much simpler. On the minus side, baritone Teles are a dime-a-dozen (though the D&B neck and JM headstock would certainly differentiate this guy... not to mention the bleacher-tastic body).
So yeah... Torn, and mostly just thinking out loud here.
