Start from the jewel lamp (LED ON/OFF Light) and follow it's yellow wire back and you'll see that
it connects to R54. Immediately to the left of R54 is R55 and immediately to the left of R55 is VR4.
VR4 is the Hum Balance trim pot. It is a blue square with a round white center that has slots for adjusting
It with a small screwdriver. You can't really see it in this pic but it should say "balance" right above it.
Happy tuning!

Just realized that the "hum balance" trim pot is kind of obscured by wires in that pic but once you
have your amp opened up, you can't miss it.

ok.
i've chatted with Len from Orange.
he was very nice and helpful. he recommend a Ruby 12at7 for the fx loop.
i've had the amp in for "service"
i've got it home from "service" ..
and discovered the "amp tech" put a 12ax7 in the fx loop ( which requires a 12at7 )
and did not adjust the hum balance pot as my request
kinda shocked about this.
having the amp open .. i've learned a bit.
i can clearly see the hum balance pot.
i going to wait until tomorrow .. when my buddy comes over.
i just don't want to accidentally touch something i shouldn't. but, it's very simple.
besides the hum issue.
the amp sounds Sweet!
i love the contrast to my little fender.
old Fuzz's like the Pharaoh sound AWEsome.
with the Fender/ Orange setup.
it's really neat to hear how pedals react through the different amp setting

Well that sucks about the tech but good to know the issue will likely be solved soon!
I miss my OR-15 so fucking much. Think I'll just start saving for an OR-50

This isn't helping my gas for an OR-50.
Can't for the life of me find any online demos that can convince me to make the 2 hr drive to the closest shop where I can try one out though

i decided to go ahead .. and adjust the um balance pot myself.
it was positioned at 1 o'clock or just right of center.
i moved it back to 11 o'clock - just left of center.
NO more "spike" in hum/hiss when i plug my cable in!!
tone remains
i just sent Len at orange an email to let him know.
again. he was nice and helpful. with quick emails!
so. my weekend is going well.

You can tune it with the amp on and your guitar plugged in too.
Just use 1 hand and stay in the area of the "Hum Balance Pot" and you'll be fine.

I always thought that Orange amps were all point-to-point wired.

I always thought that Orange amps were all point-to-point wired.
