What exactly are you looking for in a fuzz? I'm not sure I know what you're looking for as almost everything sounds different. I'll tell you this though I've tried a metric fuck ton of them and there are only a few I really dig for the type of playing I do. Industrial type porno theme songs. :)

Try a buzzz maybe, or a TAFM which is also killer and my main fuzz forever

Midfi Clari(not) might be right up your weird alley
New infanem cheapies are cool too

Four Eyes is extremely versatile and great for stacking into other fuzzes. :snax:

That's my problem though. I don't know what I want. One minute I was a sting-bright and hissing silicon, other times glitchy thumpin' germanium. I just go blank when I start thinking of builders and their models, so I thought of you guys ;)

And I got a shitload of suggestions. I'm going to go through them all and see where the GAS leads me. :snax:

Don't know if you tried it yet, but in case you're not dead set on one of the 7 or so favorite ILF boutique brands: Mastotron.

Insane on bass as well. It can easily go over the top if you want it to, and if you're not carefull out it'll fuck up your speakers and/or ear drums.

But dispite not being new or hip, the mastortron is still capable of stripping the paint of your walls, while covering more classic fuzz tones as well. Pure evil in a box, like an angrier yet more manageable fuzzfactory with a bigger set of cojones.

Dude try the Red Witch Fuzz God II. It can do everything from hairy Hendrix sounds to heavy crush smash destroy. I am actually selling mine right now. (This isn't a plug for a sale, it really is a sweet pedal that I think you'd dig). Sounds fantastic on guitar and bass alike. It's incredibly tight and articlate.

This. Not that I tried a zillion of em, but so far it's my favorite fuzz pedal in the glitch/oscillation departement, cause it can do both noisy mahem as well as more conservative tones, and lots in between. It's also not too finnicky or too unpredictable, unlike a lot of similar versatile fuzz peds out there.

Tons of great suggestions here!

I'll second the 4eyes as it's very unique and versatile from drive to fuzz to cocked wah sounds and expression control really sets it off. Stacks well to boot.

AB synth 5K or 6k is fantastic for the oscillation.

If you go Super Fuzz I'd say the ss/bs Buzzz all the way.

Blackout's Seriously Special Twosome is great for variety with the Fix'd Deluxe and Blunderbuss combo. TONS of different awesome sounds within.

Basic audio makes some great stuff but I heard Jon was having issues getting orders filled awhile back. The Squarewave+ is probably my favorite thing he offers.

Earthbound Audio's Supercollider '71 is one bitchin muff.

And for pure destruction, I like the Megalith. It's pricey but I've never heard anything quite like it.

I want to try Eivinds AB Synth (6K, right?). I've already had the normal Twosome pedal, and I thought the fix'd fuzz was pretty cool, but it wasn't really for me. I'm checking out all the other ones though!

Any thoughts on D*A*M FuzzRong FR-70?

That can be arranged. :) Yeah, it's a 6K. Fantastic fuzz, loads of sounds and noises.
