Not completely Shoegaze, but seeing as they were a big influence on it, I shall say this: If you get the chance to see the Jesus and Mary Chain's Psychocandy tour next year - JUST FUCKING DO IT.
I saw them in Manchester last night, such a wonderful racket. And they also did a short "hits" set at the beginning, with "Some Candy Talking" and "Upside Down" (their first single) as well as some slightly later stuff like "April Skies" and "Reverence".

I didn't even realize they were touring that album. Will absolutely try and go see.

Well that balloon popped rather quickly. Could they expected to do a full set if they do a U.S. Festival appearance? Probably not, I fear. That early stuff of theirs just hit it out of the park.

+1
Probably the best show I've ever been to, a couple of nights ago in Glasgow.

I had no idea JAMC still did some concerts... Psychocandy is what, almost 30 years old now ? Still a magnificent record, though.

Saw JAMC a couple of years ago in SD, they played like 70% of Psychocandy, it was really awesome.

They were a wreck when I saw them in the states, but it sounded great nonetheless.
