My favourite Neubauten album is probably Ende Neu. Haus Der Luge is great too, well, all of their albums are great to be honest... Earlier works (80's) are rougher, more direct. Starting from the late 80's/early 90's it got a bit mellower in a way but even richer, awesome sounds and structures. Basically all members of Neubauten (past and present) are excellent musicians (and N.U. Unruh makes unique percussive instruments) and when they make music together the result is just pure awesomeness. Also, Alexander Hacke has the most impressive bass sound I ever heard live.

Anyway, Ende Neu. Wonderful thing.

And Haus Der Luge :

But really, you can't go wrong with any of their releases. Always a bit different but definitely Neubauten.
And their live performances are always worth seeing, too.

Yeah, I know I'm a bit of a fanboy...

Thanks! Must have missed the missing 's' when I was looking at other posts where that worked. Both posts are fixed now! :thumb:

Oh man the bass sound live was incredible. Especially when he was using fuzz.

They had a fill in keyboard player when I saw them and he fucked up the start of Sabrina. Blixa's reaction was hilarious, throwing his arms up in the air to punctuate the lyrics like a stereotypically angry European grandpa and singing the first couple lines, 'it's not ze RED ov ze dying SUN' in an exasperated heavy German accent.
