David Gilmour is fucking tremendous. So is Syd Barrett. So, for that matter, are all the members of Pink Floyd.

But this one was especially lame.
Yeah the Wall is like the only one I've heard that I can't make it through. Never listened to more than like 5 of their albums tho

After years of defending and advocating for Pink Floyd (the good stuff, obv.) I was put in a new and frightening position when my dear wife posted about how shitty this new one is on our Facebook page. And ohhhhhh we were attacked. Like, personally even.
GUESS WHAT
NEW PINK FLOYD STILL SUCKS.

haha well my review is going online tomorrow
2/7
the ending statement is something like "Instead of a swan song for Richard Wright, the new album is more of a funeral march for the whole band"
and I gave it 2/7
But my editor in chief really gave me props for writing a really well argumented in-depth review, so... I can't wait for the flak. Because I'm pretty sure I can fully stand behind what i've written

Division Bell and The Final Cut sucked too. I pretty much get off right after DSOTM.
Look, let's be honest here. The Wall isn't really great either.

Don't like The Wall either, seems like some half-assed album with great ideas yet shitty songs in my opinion, which is maybe even worse and more painful to hear than a shitty album.
I mean, the shitty album you can throw away and never think about it again but the other one not so much.
Animals has some cool songs on there I think, Dogs and Sheep for instance and other than Dark Side Of The Moon, which I also enjoy, Wish You Were Here (apart from the actual song Wish You Were Here) has some great songs on there as well.
My favourite Pink Floyd thing by the way is to drive at night on a dark curvy narrow B road that you don't know with trees along both sides playing one of the three Pink Floyd records I mentioned, it gives such an incredibly haunted athmosphere which is pretty unreal, it's quite a sensation.

Anything after Meddle pretty much sucks, let's be honest.

Meddle only has two good songs - Echoes and One of these Days. I mean let's be honest with outselves here. San Tropez is just.... awful!!
Studio side of Ummagumma is pretty underwhelming too. Not bad, but definitely not something I'm often in the mood for.
Atom Heart Mother's B side isn't actually that great either, but the song itself? Fuck!! And they don't even like this song!!!!
Obscured by Clouds and More have some awful moments too.....
And I mean don't get me wrong here fellas, I consider Pink Floyd to be one of my favourite bands of all time. But they have some lousy stuff too.
At this point, I can get by with Piper at the Gates of Dawn (incredible), Saucerful of Secrets (their absolute best, most flawless album), DSOTM, Live Ummagumma (basically perfect), Live at Pompeii (simply incredible) and some fantastic bootlegs out there documenting these eras. And Atom Heart Mother.
Okay Wish You Were Here is pretty great too, but I don't often revisit it....
and for all it's bs, classic rock radio overpaying, DSOTM rules if you can just appreciate it for what it is and not what it became.....

You don't even like Fearless? Dat guitar riff used to make me float when stoned back in high school.
