Maybe if you squeeze the oil out of them and use it to power a generator?

I've been using just one spots for like 6 years. I have 2 to run my board of about 10 pedals, I had the same 2 to run like 16 when I had a bigger board. No noise

Used to have a PP2+. It was great, no complaints. Only sold it because I don't have a big pedalboard anymore.
Now I just use a One Spot (I have three just in case). It does the job perfectly fine.

Will eventually upgrade and I had one die on me but they are cheap and work well, I haven't noticed toooo much noise and I pretty much constantly have 8 pedals chained, a bunch of high current draw digital pedz along with some dirt
Same here. I have gone back and forth with buying a PP2+ for a long time, but when I get zero noise while using a one spot daisy chaining 8 peds (5 high gain dirt / fuzzes, analog delay and trem, and digital reverb), I can't justify the expense. If I were gigging, it might be different where I can't rely on a venue having any sort of reasonable power, but at home... one spot all the way. I've been using the same one for 10 years and never had any problem.
Does that hold true for going direct as well as going into an amplifier?
I haven't daisy chained direct, but I used it on a Dulwich fuzz pedal and that worked just fine.

i won a cheap signal flex on ebay for peanuts
just to have around
bass dude been using it lately
i haven't tried it with my noisy shit to see if its any good
get a one spot
ill buy it from you if you hate it

1sots are really, really well designed. If you don't need the isolation, nor the routing flexibility that comes with a Cioks/PP2/whatever, get a 1spot. They rule.
You can daisy chain on any power supply. Cioks makes daisy chain cables for either 2 or 3 pedals, and you can daisy the daisy chain cables if you need to. Again, it's all down to routing and isolation. Probably similar cables for a pedal power as well.

1spot, the gateway drug of power supplies.

I have a one spot, just no daisy chain.

Dude have you seriously been using batteries? Most pedals don't even take them? I demand pedal board pic as proof!
You can get a One Spot daisy chain for stupid cheap

There or at Geeetar Center. They work great until you get pissed and start using isolated supplies. But that's some bucks. If you don't feel you need them, I'd stick with daisy chaining.

I know, it's pricey - but you get 8 ISOLATED 9v outputs, with a couple of sag options + each output has a dipswitch incase you have picky pedals. can run daisy chains through 'em too. reliable, can take a beating. won't have to worry about power again unless you have some really crazy stacks going.
Wait, daisychains through a PP2+? Is that safe? :|
That changes everything...
totally safe. it's a game changer. 1spots are great if you don't gig/tour or have a small board. but there will come a point where grounding issues will drive you absolutely nuts.. and that's one thing I hate when watching/listening to a band perform: ground hum. so gross. although you could run with 1spots forever and just add a noisegate

No digital camera, but the latest incarnation of my bass board is Singing Tree>Supercollider>PDF-1>Pitchblack. So, uh, the pitchblack is the only one that doesn't take batteries there -- in fact, that's what I use the One Spot for.
The power supply question comes from the Drone Commander/Deses Parva chain, which is, uh, significantly less battery friendly. GB24, Dirge DOD250 (that's batteries), 1776 delay, and some other odds and ends, which is part of the reason I'm concerned about the noise from recording direct.

judging by the thread title i'm 100% certain that this is what you need:
but in all seriousness, try a daisy chain with the onespot and if that doesn't work, buy the cioks model that fits your needs and be done for life, they're the best.
not to knock on the voodoo labs stuff but i don't see any advantage whatsoever in buying one over a cioks aside from it probably being a little bit cheaper. the feature sets on their models have always seemed weird and not very versatile to me, plus they're kinda chunky and don't have selectable input voltage. you can use a cioks basically anywhere without needing a step down/up transformer.

I imagine you can snag a PP2+ used sometime soon for a good deal.
Last year around this time I bought one brand new and then later turned around and bought another off of B/S/T with a PedalTrain and hard case for less than I bought the original PP2+ so I sold the used PP2+ and bought some other cool shit with it that I later flipped because straight pedge.
Love my PP2+ and have no complaints. Easily mounts to the PedalTrain so that's a plus because it's otherwise sort of hideous. If I had to have a power supply out on my board for all to see maybe I'd look at the Walrus Audio one because the art is cool as shit but I've got everything tucked away. YOLO SWAG 420.
