any recommendations outside of axemasters? he won't email me back and I still can't buy his stuff off his store for some reason

I had the nut replaced on a Warwick once, had a bone one made. Most guitar shops can do it, install it, and you won't even have to worry about it. It's not the cheapest route, but it's the best IMO.

Yeah that's what I usually do. I'm not stressed at all, just inconvenienced by the best option not being accessible right now. I like saving money too
