Me too, the first thing I actually thought was "wow, that looks really cool"... :idk:
I'm not a reverb dude though I guess, also a bit bummed that it's basically an old thing in a new package, no 100% wet and no bass and treble controls, the only way I can see myself using a reverb is if it's really big and dark, maybe with a bit of modulation but none of those spring style delay type artefacts, but yeah, that's just me of course, no reverb man... :p :D

It looks like nu-catalinbread, but with better graphics.

Kind of surprised they're suddenly embracing the EHX/MXR/boutique style and ditching the Boss footswitch, but it's a great move.

No more Hardwires then?

I hope this is their new house style and not just a one-off tease, like the Source Audio EQ pedal...

I think I read no 100% wet on this one if that's critical for you.

Just seems like a dig at the boutique market aesthetic with recycled innards. Not trashing on the sound but I got no solids on it.

I really dig the looks of it, but they should have used a simpler typeface for the lettering around the knobs. That shit is a nightmare to read, especially the mode selector knob.

Seems like the specifics are still unconfirmed, but I don't know why anyone would make a crazy reverb like this without having the option to go 100% wet.

Reverse is 100% wet (deactivates the analog dry path). The other modes keep analog dry.

I don't share the enthusiasm for the the graphics, although it's good to see Digitech try something a bit more leftfield.

Digitech seem a lot more attuned to prevailing trends within the marketplace/pedal community when compared to other mass producers like Boss and Ibanez. I suppose it might help that they are based in the USA.

The hall algorithm is supposed to be the same as the iStomp Lexicon reverb, is that identical to the algorithm on the RV7?

I'm in the graphics suck camp. Would be better if they powder coated it black with the gold lettering like the supernatural. The features are promising though.

Shimmer. Although the octaves "cascade". So perhaps a blossoming effect.
