I'm not expecting anything revelatory in their music but this one struck me as simply lazy. They're becoming the doom version of Nebula.

Both of your points of view are totally understandable.
To be honest I actually don't listen to a shitload of Wizard, probably because I know if I do go for overexposure, any cool it does have will have a rapidly diminishing quality.
To rerail the thread, new Bongripper is good Bongripper.

Brutal.
They've made some classic records and some very good ones, but I haven't felt the need to listen to the new one more than once. All hail 70's occult boobs.

Maybe I'm just bitter because I spent, easily, $75 on that EW/Reverend Bizarre die hard and all you get is an uncovered nipple and a purple LP....
This was direct from the label, not discogs prices too. The pound/Rise Above pricing is ridiculous.....

I'm pretty sure Ron knows we love his band, so I think it's ok. I really, really wish someone would hide the vox filter from Jus.

For the record - the new EW record is IMHO weak, because it's very rinse-repeat stuff for them
the new Bongripper is quite cool, it's got fantastic sound for one, feels much more solid than Hail Satan to me
Feels fresh yet it still sounds like it really comes from the great stoner doom classics in the sound aesthetic. I know this is a cliché, but I feel some Dopesmoker vibes from the way Endless sounds like... i mean the drumming and attitude...
On the other hand - it feels maybe a little bit longer that it should have been. But I haven't been stoned for ages and I do remember being stoned and jamming the fuck out of Hail Satan while sober, it again seemed a bit long-winded
not saying it's required for it to be a good album tho
