I used a Godlyke and I was very happy with it for a while, but there was some clock noise coming from a few of my pedals. I got a CIOKS DC10 and it's a world of difference. Like others have said, it's a big expense and it's not a "fun" purchase like a new pedal but I promise you won't regret it once you do. Recently I needed a little more and found a used PP2+ for cheap, so now I've got both on my board and I'm very happy with them.

A One Spot or Godlyke will do the job for you but at some point you'll probably want to upgrade if you're running a lot of noisy pedals at once.

Yeah I forgot to mention the mxr isn't isolated. I only have issues at my new apartment, which even just plugged directly into my amp, i can pickup radio signals if I turn up the spring reverb.

I use a Onespot and i'm pretty happy with it. It works well for my applications, if I was playing live then maybe not.

Visual sound one spot for now, fulfills my needs. Not too noisy except for when I'm stacking distortions, but that's kind of to be expected anyways. When stacking distortions, I think I can hear in the hum that it's switching.


When I plan to expand my board larger, considering the T-Rex fuel tank chameleon at the moment.

Cheapo onespot style dealio with daisy chains. Puts out 3A so it'll power like any number of things, I've never owned anything that has made masses of noise with it.

I do want to get something better though.

I've had zero issues until i got a pedal that needed 500ma of current and the pedal power plus wasn't able to power it properly with its max 250ma.

You could buy a current doubler for the PP2+. It ends up using 2x250 outputs and makes it into a 500ma. I keep meaning to pick one up.

It's not an extraordinarily fun purchase but it has some good feeling, too. It sounds silly but I just felt so legit not carrying around two one spots (one to isolate an old reverb) and then ten thousand items daisy chained together for a pedalboard that was covered in cables (my own negligence, easy enough to resolve).

So while the purchase isn't as nice as buying a new pedal it's also something I've never once thought about flipping (save for that one time, right after I bought one, that I got a good deal on a PT1/hard care/PP2+ from Skip). Didn't need two at the time.........

I still need to buy a current doubler to run my Flashback 4x since it suns at 300ma, but I'm fine using a courtesy plug at the back too.

Another VS one-spot fan here. Other than that, if you dont need a ton of power: Harley Benton Powerplant Jr. Dont think its available outside of europe tho.

Im one of those cheap skates that doesnt want to spend too much precious pedal money on something like a power supply. Never felt the need to anyway, My one spots and the HB powerplant jr never let me down in the past. A cioks unit looks neat in terms of specs and all, but if you can get enough juice out of a generic $50 chinese power supply, and its quiet and reliable....I say if it aint broke dont fix it

Yeah, the primary reason I went for a real-deal power supply is that I had a bunch of pedals that wanted weird voltages. If everything I had was 9VDC, I'd probably still be running 1-spots as well, because I've never really had a bad noise issue.

But my Whammy wants AC, my EHX BMS wants 24V, I used to have a Flanger Hoax that wanted 18V, etc.
