Putting this out there, I would rail Wata.

Ugly Nora wrote:What is Boris' angle? I don't understand them. They seem pretty bland to me but they seem to be pretty popular around here and I typically agree with most folks taste around here which is why I like it here. Am I too old? Am I too narrow minded? Have I been listening to too much ABBA? What am I missing? What is an album that would make say "hot damn"?
Granted, I do think any ABBA is too much but… yeah Amplifier Worship

and feedbacker and Flood and Akuma no Uta

and The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked, Sun Baked Snow Cave and Pink are all awesome
Rainbow… didn't grab me much other than two songs… I like Smile… Klatter was good, so was Präparat, Noise is pretty good, it comes more like what you expect.. not sure if that is a good or bad thing…

I think she's on his 40s, and that scares me.
Kim is yummy as well, but I'd say she's already a GILF

You guys are getting pretty loose and liberal with the MILF talk.... I'd wouldn't throw it out there until someone was like, 50+ and their kid is a teenager..... but hey that's me, I appreciate the subtle sexual beauty of an older woman more than some 22 year old girl.....
Kim Gordon is a MILF, Coco is like, in college....
That being said, as far as Boris is concerned, I'd say that my 3 go to suggestions are Dronevil, Feedbacker and Flood.

I like Noise. Saw them live in August and it was one of their best shows. The new album is great.
Suggestions: Praparat, Amplifier Worship, Akuma No Uta, Vein. My favorites of theirs, for sure.

I would always suggest Amplifier Worship, Akuma No Uta, both Heavy Rocks...
But for those new to Boris, I also pass this on.

You all just listed like 20 albums that would make me go "hot damn". They can't all do that. Or can they?

Actually that flow chart really does make a lot of sense.

I have to admit that I've so far been in the "meh" camp. Newer Boris has felt to me like....
dare I say it?
new Nine Inch nails compared to old Nine Inch Nails
Just not like they're doing anything new or interesting.
I reeeeeeeally like older Boris. What I've always liked about them is that they don't stay in one style. I loved that they put out what are essentially pop albums. I actually like jamming
New Album. (Orange) Heavy rocks is great. But I mostly love all the old drone and noise. Nora, if you're into drone, you HAVE TO check out Sun-Baked Snow Cave. Then maybe Absolutego. And Dronevil.
Speaking of which, how come no one mentioned Dronevil? I love that one far more than Flood. If you can get two stereos and play the drone side through one and the "evil" side through the other...it's worth it.
Oh yeah, and SMILE. I'll listen to Smile over Pink any day.
