FWIW I recently acquired a 2000's reissue big box, with the relay true bypass and 4 x MN3008s
It sounds really nice!
I built my own 2 x MN3005 version a couple years ago on a Madbean PCB and they sound like DMMs but definitely have some differences
the DIY one is a bit darker, and the repeats arent quite as nice.

I keep eyeballing the newer one with tap tempo. But they I played a deluxe memory toy and was not into it. Too fucking hard to dial in normal sounds, too much "EHX-zaniness" and not enough useable features. But the memory man looks legit. I just wish it was cheaper, then
