i'm in the same boat, never tried one before.
i bought an Aenima last night in that b-stock sale because it seemed to be one of the noisiest ones, will report back upon arrival.

The essential Devi pedal I have for me is the Test Pattern, but chances of that emerging from Devicraft are < 0 realistically.

I had an improved version built that really made it come alive.

A lot of the Devi stuff is only really, really fun with all the switches and mods and oddball stuff to be honest.

And that doesn't seem to be something that the current owners seem a whole lot interested in.

they put like 10 pedals up and they ended up selling pretty quickly. will probably be more to come.

I swear by Truly Beautiful Disaster, the Manglers, and Spectacular Aenima.

But if You're into just having a taste... Aenima. Aenima is good for You. Crank the noisy fuzztortion on and the audience will hate to admit they love You. Your band mates, too.

The Aenima and the Bit were my first two Devi's, and probably still my favorite of the basic pedals. VFM and ND kicked ass too.

If you include the deluxe pedals, Spectacular Aenima was my favorite.

Devi Ever pedals are the pedals that got me interested in fuzz pedals a little while ago... I saw the PGS demo of the Godzilla and it blew me away. I've spent a lot of time browsing the devi website, researching the pedals and most of them seem very cool for different reasons. I haven't had a chance yet to try any out in person, though. I'm probably going to ask for a Noise Floor and Bit: Legend Of Fuzz for Christmas... I would say to look into the basic two knob pedals-Soda Meiser, Bit, VFM, Aenima, Torn's Peaker, US, etc... See if you can narrow your choices down, and if you find yourself torn between two pedals, see if they're together in a combo pedal with the two footswitches. For instance, the Godzilla is a Goddess Zero and Vintage Fuzz Master, Rocket is a Soda Meiser and Vintage Fuzz Master, etc... Also, if you're interested in a Soda Meiser, you may as well get the Noise Floor. It's the Soda Meiser with chaos and noise switches to make things really wacky if you want... Certainly a couple of cool extra options.

Anyone ever tried a Year Of The Rat? Devi referred to it as her most under-appreciated pedal. It seems pretty cool.
