Rip out the frets.
Fill with wax or epoxy.
Profit.

This is a great idea.Mike wrote:Find an underprivileged kid with the desire to play guitar, but without the means to get one. Give the kid the guitar. Maybe change his/her life.colossus wrote:That said, I'm not going to turn down a free guitar. SO what should I do to/with it?
How many of us were gifted our first guitar?
Is that a spray can finish? Looks sharp!wildebelor wrote:Have you seen what I did to a squier strat?
It wasn't even a strat - it was a starcaster!
I got it playing really good though.
Totally saveable. (stock starts suck!)
Made it into a pseudo TB500 - so much better now.
Seriously, cost me well under $200 all up.
Oh wow, Glenn Branca. Not a bad idea but I do wonder how exactly he tunes that guitar. He could try doing something like two of Glenn's colleagues, and by that I of course mean Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo. Strip down the electronics and do some weird pickup combinations. That sort of stuff is the coolest in my book. On that note he could also relic the hell out of it. He could also do what others are saying and take the frets out and turn it into a Drifter style guitar.trace wrote:Get another one for $20 on CL and
