Gonna try dadaae, ASAP..
I've done a couple jams with CGDGCD tuning, sounds good with other stringed instruments in standard tuning.

turns out one o my favourite guitar players (mary timony) plays in a weird tuning close to dadaae, called dadgae
which I haven't tried yet but the name sounds infinitely better

I've been mesing around with variations of D tuning as well on this Strat I put together. What I like about D is that it's definitely a little 'thicker' sounding, without losing much of a traditional standard type of sound too

Ive been using a variation of this on the baritone I just got.

Unison/octave strings and minor thirds rule with distortion.
