Ryan can call it the Opposite Day Delay.

Sounds exactly like something he would put out.

I think everyone's forgetting another Canadian who's familiar with reverse coding...

It'd be a little pricey retail, but a regular builder could do this using the FV-1 dev board and readymade reverse delay code from their forums. I posted something a little while ago about a glitch pedal prototype that someone from Muff Wiggler put together—same concept.

I really need to get into building...
It would be cool to have controls over modulation and modulation speed like the line 6, and then a tone control, a feedback switch maybe? Or some of the features that the stereo memory man has.
I think there's a whole lot more you can do with reverse than just mix and delay time. When You set the mix around 40% with a lot of repeats it just... Sounds magical.

Someone needs to do a digital delay with a killer reverse mode and a momentary switch to trigger the reverse. Kind of like the swell momentary in some verbs now...Just with reverse.
I could definitely see that being a useful thing

Shit yeah, that's a great idea! Hope someone's taking notes!

doesn't the SMMH do something like this?

Sorta, it's a regular(kinda) delay and then you hold the tap tempo switch to hear what you played in reverse

Timebender's reverse (with harmonizer options and a ton of other stuff) is the best I've had in my hands in a stompbox.

Large, but it is what it is. Tone control/modulation stuff is very handy, and does 100% wet until you get bored.

The reverse with pitch shifting on the timebender is insane. The way the harmonies fade in is amaaaazing.

Timebender is one of the most underrated delays of all time.

Fo sho. I don't understand how everyone doesn't have one and how they were unpopular enough to get discontinued. The stuff they do is completely insane.

I plugged them for years.

Nobody listened.

I was the devil for suggesting a digital anything!
