clear so they arent as obvious as the blue hearos i have, plus they're in a little case to keep them minty and fresh

I also use the ER20s. The attenuation seems pretty even across frequencies. Them being clear makes you look like less of a nerd.

Just got fitted for some custom earplugs. Holy shit. Incredibly uncomfortable and weird. I didn't know shit could go that far in your ear without hitting the ear drum.

Right? I had some custom molded ones made a few years ago. They're awesome, but also pricey (like around $150). I use them for band practice, but I never wear them to shows out of fear of losing them, which kind of defeats the purpose of spending that much on custom molded earplugs.

I've used Hearos and Etymotics. I prefer the Etymotics, both for price and comfort. The only problem is that I can only get them off Amazon. Granted, free two day shipping so its not a huge deal, but if I don't think enough ahead of time, I have to go with my back up plan, which are the Hearos. What's nice about them is that Guitar Center always carries them, so if you ever find yourself in a situation where you're, say, going to see TTNG in a venue you're not familiar with while visiting your family in the Dallas area and you forget to pack your earplugs and you want to just pick some good ones up on the way to the show that also includes a local band who's very heavy and also Tera Melos on the bill and don't want to lose your hearing because you'll need all of your sense to get yourself home correctly, then they work great in a pinch.
