Okay, I finally had chance to swing by my sweet local music shop and tried a few, thought I'd share. I've tried:
1.Analogman bi-chorus w/ deep switch. Fancy looking and sweet sounding chorus/vibrato. Seriously nice, but a little bit too transparent and too pretty sounding and priced way up there, frequency was kinda subtle and blended with guitar tone too nicely, I bet this thing would sound great at home by myself, but I suspect the modulation would be buried in band mix easy due to the transparency.
2.Next stop was the EQD Sea Machine, shit was too complicated for my needs. I was able to scoop some cool sounds out of it (with a lot of patience) but I could never get that classic chimey chorus I had in my head. Too much work for an idiot like me. I moved on..
3.Then I plugged into Red Witch phaser. Right away after I hit the switch it gave me that loud & annoying hiss, I unplugged right away in literally 10 seconds. So embarrassing, for the price tag.
4.Shit's still going, I then tried the Diamond Halo. Any knobs position will give you the instant sweet spot all across the range. But the range is kinda narrow, so it's definitely not a versatile pedal. It's "clean" and nice, this thing is too "polite" sounding to me It's boring. But I bet it's great for majority of regular folks who wants to sound like the police and shit. Not me.
5. Onto the last stop, started to get frustrated and almost thinking on getting the damn bi-chorus, then my buddy who works there hand me this ugly looking pedal with so much passion and super swears by it. Turned out to be the one that I finally brought home. *drumrolls.. Fucking EHX Neo Clone! Why? Easy, 3 words: Swirly. Wet. Juice. None of any pedals above gave me this smooth throbbing vibe like the neo, not even my previous clone reissue. Plugged the guitar in, and boom.. Instant jizz. Idiot proof and straight to the point. Plus the voicing frequency will guaranteed to cut through the band mix. Perfect for a non cheese music.
Glad, I got out the store only to spend $65.. I was accompanied by a gear snob buddy

the whole time demoing the pedals and we both agreed, this one is a winner.
There goes my unprofessional reviews, YMWVSDA (your miles won't vary, so don't argue)
