I think one of the problems over here is that certain gear was never popular or perhaps never even sold. I've never seen a V4 turn up (not that I've been keeping track of v4s but ya whatever). When they do turn up the scarcity factor drives up the price. Also the European market was really fragmented until recently. Still is in comparison to the states. I mean, the only good gear forum in my neck of the woods is of course Swedish language. And I'm guessing good gear forums in Italy are Italian. Which kinda precludes a lot of shopping and bargain hunting.

I have to cross out the V4B. Indeed, I had the chance to try it with guitar and it sounds really good, but it doesn't have enough control on the mids for my needs. Furthermore, I'm sure that the lack of a 16 ohm output would be an annoying issue in case you have to borrow a cab during a gig...
